Schottenheimer and Saints quarterback Drew Brees are so close they’re like family. So Schottenheimer, who coached Brees in San Diego, is coming to town to support one of his closest friends, though he still is bitterly disappointed about not getting to the Super Bowl.
“Get it done, knock it out,” Sanchez said. “Talking with Dr. Montgomery, the analogy he gave me was, ‘You’re car’s out of alignment. Either you keep driving like it is and keep thinking about it and keep worrying about it, keep having to wear a brace and stuff like that, or you get this thing fixed, nip it in the bud right now, and it’ll be fine.”
There seems to be rather a long list of misconceptions about the salary cap (and specifically the uncapped year / final eight rules) floating around, so I’m going to do my best to try and highlight some of them here.
