Kellen Manages Game, Defense Dominates

Kellen Manages Game

by Erik Manassy on December 13, 2009

All Kellen Clemens had to do was manage the game and make sure he didn’t turn over the ball.  Mission Accomplished as the Jets have won three straight games.

Kellen clearly looked shaky during the beginning of the game pressing to make plays and missing wide open receivers.  He missed an open Cotchery in the end zone and then missed Woodhead coming out of the backfield.

Not IF, but when Sanchez comes back, the job is clearly his again.  The defense in combination of the poor play of the bucs offense really bailed out Clemens.

The other reason for the win was the great ground game lead by Thomas Jones.  I said early this week that the Jets MUST “Run” their way to the playoffs. The offensive line is playing great, and they are allowing TJ, and Greene to do their jobs.

The Jets ran the ball 42 times for 175 yards.    I would give my offense game ball to Thomas Jones, and the defensive game ball goes to Calvin Pace.  Darrelle Revis had another solid game worthy of the pro-bowl and now his name must be mentioned as the defensive player of the year.
