The New York Jets sent an email with a link to a personalized video to Jets fans in the beginning of the season promoting a contest:

Go watch your personal Jets video and on October 18th at the Meadowlands, Rex Ryan, 53 teammates, and 80,000 screaming fans may all be watching you lead the team out of the tunnel and onto the field of battle against Buffalo. It’s our way of saying thanks to our loyal fans. After viewing your personal Jets video you can enter the sweepstakes for a chance to “Lead the Jets out of the Tunnel” by confirming your contact information.

It was also the day that the National Anthem was sung by another contest winner, Meghann Carr.
I was away on a business trip and missed the game. If you recall, we were favored and I was totally shocked just as was Jets Nation of the last minute loss. You can see my live reaction from my hotel room.
Getting back to the contest, I just remembered I never knew who actually won the contest! Well, by finding photos and doing a story about the Dolphins pictures on flckr, I clicked on Ed Yourdon’s profile and saw that he actually was on the field taking pictures of the tunnel. I don’t think he realized it, but he got a great shot of the winner, “Gandolfo”.
