Mistakes Happen But No Time For Pity!

by Erik Manassy on October 13, 2009

A tweet from Kerry Rhodes and Darrelle Revis was posted last night while they were on the plane after the game and reveals they KNOW the Defensive unit was less than stellar.

I love the acknowledgement, and taking accountability. It is what leaders do…

I read on a news forum that a Twitter account was egging on Kerry, got a response, and then lambasted him.

I’m not going to mention the Twitter account to give the guy air time here, but it could not be further from the truth.

Revis clearly blew coverage on Gin Jr’s TD, but are we going to crucify the guy for making one mistake. That one play did not cost them the game. You can put the loss on the entire D. Just look at the opening drive of the game and you will see that it was uncharacteristic of an usual stingy defense.

What I like about both posts is that Revis learns from his mistakes to get better and Rhodes moves on as well and avoids self pity.
